And … breathe …

Team with Nature day

This new concept of intentionally bringing your team into nature is picking up interest around the world. Wherever you are - I’m here to help you. Whether it’s to learn how to do this yourself (see the tips and ways I can help in the free download above) or to experience it - all inclusive - for yourselves.

Currently this in-person experience is only available through us on at our special location - a short hop north of London.

  • The other 200+ days of the year have been about doing, occasionally learning, this day is about connecting.

I will work with you to gently reset the balance of the team. For those who have lacked agency and not felt seen - this is their day to be listened to on an equal footing and for those who have typically been in focus to take a day away from that pressure.

Being in a meadow, cooking on a fire: nature will be our co-facilitators, setting the relaxed environment.

  • Our priority is to create a safe space for you to be with your team, enjoying nature. Becky is adept at quickly putting people at ease. With you, she will intentionally build a foundation of psychological safety based on her training and extensive experience.

  • Above all, this day is about nourishing yourselves.

There’ll be time to just be, wander and wonder, sit in the calmness of this beautiful field - trees, birds, butterflies and ladybirds.

There’ll be simple team activities such as cooking lunch on a fire and feasting!

Team with Nature day

Organisation and Team wellbeing benefits

Resilient, kind and authentic relationships form the foundations of our organisations.

A Team With Nature day is an opportunity to step away from the pressure and distractions of day-to-day work and gently invest in building deeper trust, respect and understanding of each other, with the help of nature and an expert facilitator.

Environmental and Biodiversity benefits

A Team with Nature day is very low carbon, we offer a team-building day that connects your team with the natural world in meaningful ways.

Our Team with Nature day enables teams to enjoy nature, have a minimal environmental impact for the day and uniquely raises awareness of biodiversity - one of the key issues of our time not addressed by most business activities.

  • Outline of the day

    - Connecting and listening - to each other and to nature - sessions involving both sitting and walking

    - Making a fire and cooking lunch on it, working together as a team

    - Feasting and resting

    - Reflecting - what we take away from the day, while we reset camp

Included: ‘Team Camp’ for the day: Food, fire, firewood, camp chair, equipment, shelter from rain or hot sun, toilets, set in a private field of a farm surrounded by nature

Facilitated sessions at either end of the day, Fire lighting and Cooking guidance, if needed, First aid trained

Also included in the price: donation for, and info about, local biodiversity regeneration eg rewilding in the area

Not included: transport, accommodation, sun cream

Attendees agree to be respectful of the land (wildlife, crops, cattle), the cooking, the fire and washing up, as well as themselves, and each other.

Location

We have carefully chosen a beautiful location - a private field, nestled in the shelter of the south end of Bedfordshire’s Greensand Ridge:

Bragenham Farm, near Leighton Buzzard, LU7 0EF

30/40 min train from London Euston to Leighton Buzzard, 10 min taxi.

From the Midlands or North West, train to Milton Keynes, 15 min taxi.

We’ll give you all the info you’ll need nearer the time to get there comfortably.

You’ll walk past the chickens, down a track and through a field to find ‘Team Camp’ in the Reed field, where everything is set up for your day of cooking over the fire, chatting and relaxing. Enjoy the breeze blowing across the meadow and the sound of birdsong in the hedgerows.

Want to stay? The farm have a range of unique glamping or camping options which you can book direct with them.

FAQs

  • If you’re bringing a team then, yes, I’d love to co-facilitate with you. Let’s chat.

If you’d like to co-facilitate to get experience and maybe set up a similar business in your area, awesome! I’m planning to run Facilitator & Founder training in Summer 2025. Please get in touch.

  • Yes - whatever your concern whether accessibility and/or safety, we have got your back.

Accessibility - From the farm car park to the field there’s a walk of about 200 metres on moderately uneven ground but no steps or steep slopes. At the station there are lifts. More details on request.

Safety - I’m particularly keen to ensure that everyone has a micro-aggression-free day - so whether you’re trans and you’re worried about the taxi driver or you’re a fairly recent immigrant and you’re worried about leaving the city - know that there will be a Welcome Pack coming at least 2 months before your Team with Nature day with all what we’re doing to ease your path. And if that doesn’t set you at ease then we’re available to answer any questions: becky@sandkind.uk

  • No, we’ve built a good relationship with the farm and we know they’re busy, please contact us in the first instance about any queries relating to your time on the farm for your Team with Nature day.

However, for booking glamping or camping, the night before/after, then, yes, go ahead do that directly. https://www.bragenhamfarm.co.uk/

  • If the weather looks very wet, we’ll cancel. See our cancellation policy.

But for most weathers - and it will be late Spring or early Summer - so unlikely to be too bad - we’ll be there.

The tents will provide warm, dry cover in a drizzle. On a hot day, the sides roll up to create a good shade that let’s the breeze float through.

But it is outdoors, so please dress appropriately - and bring layers, a hat, suncream, etc.

  • The photos in the location section are genuinely of Bragenham farm. The chickens photo I took in September on a foraging course there. The one behind the chickens is a photo of the Reed field where Team Camp will be situated but the photo was taken in Autumn - just imagine how it’ll look in late Spring /early Summer - more like the meadow photo above (from Unsplash)

Photo at the top is Ivinghoe Beacon on the edge of the Chiltern Hills nearby which you’ll see to the right of train if you’re travelling that way up from London.

    On the home page

the ‘out standing in a field’ photo is the view from a friend’s back garden about a mile or 2 from the farm, nearer to Woburn estate

the picture of bark is a gum tree photo I took in St Kilda Australia in 2015 visiting family after we got married.

    my face is by me

All the other photos are free stock photos courtesy of Unsplash and the beautiful people who took them.
